LaVerne Clouden (CWR ‘55, GRS ‘70) studied music education (CWRU Department of Music) during her years at Case Western Reserve University and went on to become a groundbreaking marching band director, making history in Cleveland schools.
She was recently featured in a series by cleveland.com, “Untold Stories,” in honor of Black History Month.
