Sree Harsha Tirumani, MD

Dr. Tirumani specializes in abdominal imaging with focused training in MRI and cancer imaging. His research interests include novel imaging techniques in the diagnosis, staging and response assessment of abdominal malignancies, especially MRI, imaging response assessment and toxicities of molecular targeted therapies and immune check point inhibitors. He has been a consultant for the Tumor Imaging Metrics Core at the Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center as expert radiology reviewer for clinical trials. He is currently the lead genitourinary radiologist at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center and the radiologist-in-charge of the weekly genitourinary multidisciplinary tumor board at UHCMC and Seidman Cancer Center.  He has a keen interest in interdisciplinary clinical radiology research and has collaborated with several disciplines at our institute. He has ongoing research projects with the oncologists at the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center working on the imaging aspects of immuno-oncology. He has worked with surgical and medical gastroenterologists in developing a low-cost, abbreviated MRI protocol for screening individuals at risk for pancreatic cancer. He is involved in active research with scientists at Case Biomedical Engineering working on radiomics (texture feature analysis) in prostate cancer and working with scientists at Case Center for Imaging Research to develop and evaluate MR Fingerprinting in renal and prostate cancer.
