Tuition Rates & Financial Aid

Graduate Program Admission

Individual departments within the School of Graduate Studies first review and recommend applicants for admission. Applicants must then be approved by the dean of Graduate Studies.

Tuition and Fees

Each of Case Western Reserve University’s graduate schools and programs has a different tuition and fee structure. These tuition costs and fees are administered through Student Financial Services.

Financial Aid

Every applicant offered admission should be able to attend. No student should be denied an education at Case Western Reserve University simply for financial reasons. And so, the university has sophisticated financial aid programs and scholarship opportunities to ease the financial burden. The Financial Aid office can assist with finding funding such as scholarships, grants, student loans or student employment.

Graduate students should contact their degree program department for information about institutional grant assistance, stipends or assistantships. The School of Graduate Studies does not manage tuition assistance or funding.

The Financial Aid Office website contains valuable information on Loans, Applying for Financial Aid via the FAFSA, eligibility for federal financial aid.

Teaching Assistantships

Students interested in being considered for assistantships through their programs must indicate their interest by checking the appropriate box on the application. This box can be found on the first section titled Personal Data.
