Barry-Perez, JD, MPA, Director of the Civil Rights Center and Principal Advisor to the Secretary of Labor and Department Leadership on Civil Rights and Equal Opportunity. Labor is an important issue among medical students, residents, clinicians, and faculty. With a high burnout rate, medical workers are overworked, underpaid, and fearful of retaliation by supervisors. According to the AAMC and the NIH, Latina healthcare workers, residents, physicians, specialists, and faculty working full-time, year-round, are typically paid 25-33% less than white, non-Hispanic men, and faculty are underrepresented at all faculty ranks. We will explore how to move Hispanic health equity from policy to practice. On-Campus Weatherhead School of Management Weatherhead School of Management UTC public
