Postdoctoral training is the temporary period of advanced research and professional development after earning a doctorate, such as a MD or PhD degree, that bridges the gap between a student’s education and a professional’s career. At Case Western Reserve University, postdocs have access to Ohio’s largest biomedical research institution to help deepen their expertise, acquire new skills and foster greater independence in order to prepare them for a future in academia, industry, government, or other research-oriented fields.
