Ron Hickman elected to American Academy of Nursing board

Ronald Hickman, the Ruth M. Anderson Endowed Professor and associate dean for research at Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, was recently elected a board member of the American Academy of Nursing.

Hickman is regarded for his work leveraging technology in decisions related to end-of-life care and chronic disease self-management. He was inducted as a member of the Council for the Advancement of Nursing Science’s National Advisory Council and Program Committee in 2015.

“I look forward to my service on the Academy’s Board of Directors and to advancing our organization’s mission to improve health and achieve health equity by impacting policy through nursing leadership, innovation and science,” Hickman told The Daily.
