Carolyn Harmon Still, PhD, RN, assistant professor, has been selected as a 2021 Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing. August 2021

Carolyn Harmon Still, PhD, RN, assistant professor, received an R01 grant for her study, "Optimizing Technology to Improve Medication Adherence and Blood Pressure Control," from the National Institute of Nursing Research/National Institutes of Health. August 2021

Grant O'Connell, PhD, assistant professor, received an R21 exploratory/developmental research grant for his study, "Massively high-throughput profiling of the circulating antibody pool for identification of diagnostic signatures with utility for stroke triage," from the National Institute of Nursing Research/National Institutes of Health. Christine Horvat Davey, PhD, RN, project coordinator, received a K23 Mentored Patient-Oriented Research Career Development Award from the National Institute of Nursing Research/National Institutes of Health for her study, "Relationship of Formal Exercise Interventions, Sleep, and Inflammation Markers in People Living with HIV." May 2021

Alumna Megan Alder, PhD, RN, received honorable mention in the PhD Student Poster Competition for "Sleep Disturbance and Challenging Behaviors in Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Caregiver Stress" at the Midwest Nursing Research Society annual conference. April 2021

Alumna Jamie Hunsicker, DNP, RN, received second place in the DNP Student Poster Competition for "The Kenton Hardin County Family Bike Program (KHCPBR)" at the Midwest Nursing Research Society annual conference. April 2021

The Midwest Nursing Research Society recognized co-principal investigators Mary Dolansky from our school of nursing and Anne Pohnert, director of quality at CVS Health, and Dolansky's FPB team of Megan Foradori, Robin Hughes, Brian Crick, Evelyn Duffy, and Nicholas Schiltz with a Research Interest Group Outstanding Partnership Award for their work with the John A. Hartford Foundation and CVS Minute Clinic. April 2021.

Heather Hardin, PhD, RN, assistant professor, has been selected by the National Institutes of Health Center for Scientific Review to participate in its Early Career Reviewer Program. December 2020.

Megan Foradori, MSN, PhD student and Legacy Fellow, for her selection as a 2021 Early Childhood Leadership Fellow by Groundwork Ohio, a nonpartisan, public policy research and advocacy organization based in Columbus, Ohio. December 2020.

Carol Savrin, DNP, CPNP, FNP-BC, FAANP, RN, associate professor and lead faculty for the Family Nurse Practitioner Program, was named winner of the 2021 National Practitioner State Award for Excellence from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). November 2020.

Jessica McCullough, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, PhD student, was selected by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMSHA) as a 2020 Minority Fellow. November 2020.

Ronald Hickman, PhD, RN, ACNP-BC, FNAP, FAAN, the Ruth M. Anderson Endowed Professor, Associate Dean for Research, was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Friends of the National Institute of Nursing Research (FNINR). October 2020.

Hannoud Al Moghrabi, DNP, APRN, WHNP-BC, Instructor, will receive the Christa Koffel Inspiring New Leader Award from the QSEN Institute at the 2021 International QSEN Forum. October 2020.
