Check out updates to CWRU’s AI services

[U]Tech has made recent updates to the AI services available to the CWRU community.

CWRU AI

CWRU AI is a general purpose artificial intelligence service that has many agents available. These include Codestral, Llama, Phi, and GPT 4.0 and 4.1 (with and without internet). Just added is GPT 5.0 and Claude Sonnet 4 (with and without internet). Sign into CWRU AI at ai.cwru.edu to check out all of your options.

Google Gemini

Gemini now offers Guided Learning. It walks users through subjects step-by-step, breaking down complex information and providing interactive help along the way. It then helps create quizzes and flashcards to help users prepare for exams.

Learn more about these study helpers on Google’s website.

Image generation has taken a huge leap forward with the new 2.5 Flash Image (aka “nano banana”) model. Use Gemini not only to create images, but also edit existing ones. Explore more of Gemini’s image generation features.

Microsoft Copilot

In July, Microsoft gave a presentation to interested CWRU members to talk about crafting a good prompt and more. Watch the video of this event.

Copilot users can now use GPT 5.0. Sign into Microsoft Copilot with your university credentials and select “Try GPT-5” in the upper right corner.

CWRU community members have access to many other AI tools, including Adobe Express, Google Notebook LM and Spartan Answers. When signed in with your university credentials, the information entered is not used in their training of those models.
