[U]Tech has rolled out significant improvements and capabilities to two of its AI offerings.
Google Gemini now has the ability to search your university Gmail, Calendar, Drive and other apps to assist you. Use it to find references to a topic in your emails or how often you have met with a person or group. Before beginning your prompt, type @ to bring up a list of the supported apps and select the one you would like to use. The “2.5 Pro (preview)” model, which you can select in the upper left, finds and synthesizes information in Google applications. Note: Google sets a daily query limit for 2.5 Pro without a paid license, so users might need to revert to 2.0 Flash at times. Google is improving this feature, so if it didn’t find what you were looking for, try it again another time.
Two new agents have been added to CWRU AI, both based on the newly released ChatGPT 4.1 model from OpenAI. This model represents a significant improvement over the previous 4o model. Users also now have the option to select 4.1 agents with or without access to internet search. Internet searches enhance the AI’s responses through the use of Microsoft Bing. Due to this, your data is sent to a third party in order to conduct the search. You’re encouraged to try all of the available AI agents to receive the best possible answer. However, the agents can make mistakes so verify important information.
