Karoline Kramer on the 2025 Staff Advisory Report

June 26, 2026

By Karoline Kramer, Project Analyst, SAC Representative & Communications Committee Co-Chair

The Staff Advisory Council (SAC) acts as an advisory body to the University administration, providing input, recommendations, and feedback on policies and issues that affect both staff and the broader University community. SAC also serves as an important forum for open dialogue between staff and administration at all levels.

The Council is organized into seven committees, each focused on a key area of staff engagement and advocacy: Communications, Community Service, Elections, Fringe Benefits, Staff Policy, Staff Recognition, and Staff Development.

The Council currently includes eight [U]Tech representatives: Karoline Kramer (Project Analyst), Jim Nauer (IT Engineer), Theresa Grigger (Administrative Coordinator), Lee Zickel (Director of Applications, EADM), Katie Skapin (Teaching & Learning Designer/Technologist), Frank Moaven (IT Technician), Chris Sonnhalter (IT Technician), and Scott Tomer (IT Technician).

The 2025 SAC Annual Report was recently distributed. It highlights the meaningful work each committee has accomplished in support of University staff, along with their goals for the year ahead. We encourage you to take a few moments to review the report and learn more about SAC’s ongoing efforts.

Over the years, SAC has helped advance several impactful initiatives at the University—including Take 2 Fridays and the Child Care Subsidy program—demonstrating our continued commitment to enhancing the staff experience. If you have any questions about SAC or are interested in serving on the Council, please reach out to us via our contact form.
