Issue Connecting To CaseWireless

When first arriving on campus some CWRU students, faculty or staff may be unable to connect their devices to the CareWireless network, which requires users to login with their university account. However they are able to connect to CaseGuest, the wireless network available to any visitors on campus. It's recommended for everyone with a valid university account to use CaseWireless because it is a more secure network.

The fix

If you are someone who is having trouble connecting, it's likely because your passphrase did not successfully sync with all of our services. To correct this, use our online sync tool. Enter your passphrase and the web page will indicate if it successfully synced. If it does not, contact the UTech Service Desk at help@case.edu, 216.368.HELP (4357) or visit help.case.edu. A technician will walk you through the fix.

Stay safe online

For security reasons, keep your passphrase private. Do not share it with anyone, including UTech technicians, nor include it in an email. No one at CWRU will ask you for it.

Remember the UTech Service Desk is available to you 24x7x365, even from home while on breaks. So for assistance with any technology product or service at Case Western Reserve University, contact them at help@case.edu, 216.368.HELP (4357) or visit help.case.edu.
