Student Information System (SIS)

The Student Information System (SIS), also referred to as Student System or PeopleSoft SIS, is the university administrative system used for managing student records information, student financial information and the university course catalog.

SIS is the database of record for student information and course information.

SIS users are supported by an experienced Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Team comprised of subject matter experts within the Office of the University Registrar and University Technology, [U]Tech. By contacting the Service Desk, your inquiry, issue or suggestion will be routed to the appropriate team.

Technical Details

  • The servers for SIS are hosted at a data center in Piscataway, New Jersey.
  • Standard maintenance of patching the operating system and security patching are done on a quarterly basis.
  • Access to SIS is available from within and outside the CWRU network.
  • Authentication for the general university community is facilitated by LDAP.
  • Break-fix and enhancements are managed by the ERP Team through a system called PHIRE .

Customers

SIS is available to current CWRU students, instructors and advisors, academic administrators, alumni and other authorized users.

Get The Service

Staff who support students, faculty or academic administration should complete a security form to request access for SIS. Security is granted automatically to all students. SIS access can be requested by a department administrator for an instructor or advisor.
