Join us as the Historical Performance Practice (HPP) ensembles prepare for the Early Music America Summit's Young Performers Festival and Emerging Artist Showcase. These performances will take place during the Early Music America Summit, hosted at Case Western Reserve University from October 20–22, 2024.

The HPP ensembles will present a program that celebrates the rich diversity of historical performance practice, showcasing music and dance spanning from the 14th to the 18th centuries. The concert will also feature Duo CPE (Andréa Walker, soprano, and Mikhail Grazhdanov, fortepiano), evoking the musical spirit of C.P.E. Bach and his circle through works by C.P.E. Bach, J.F. Reichardt, and C.F. Zelter.

Location

Florence Harkness Memorial Chapel (est. 1902) is known for its Tiffany stained-glass windows, soaring arches, and beautiful woodwork. The neo-Gothic structure, located in Mather Quad on the campus of Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland, OH), commemorates the brief life of Florence Harkness Severance.

The venue features a warm, intimate, and acoustically resonant space for Department of Music performances, lectures, and special events.
