Journeys

This recital tells of three captivating journeys each written in a different language and musical style (from c. 1600-1800). The first portrays love as represented through the bloom and decay of nature. The second part features a mythological hero's fantastical odyssey accompanied by the Gods' wrath and grace. Also drawn from mythology, the final part of this recital puts a spotlight on the trope of a scorned lover and paints their journey from hope to despair.

  • Julie Andrijeski, violin
  • René Schiffer, cello
