Follow the steps below to report maintenance concerns, facility issues, or emergencies within the CWRU Department of Music.
Report tuning, repairs, or other piano-related maintenance issues by submitting the Piano Maintenance Request Form.
This form is only for pianos managed by the CWRU Department of Music in Denison Hall, Harkness Chapel, and Haydn Hall.
Piano Maintenance Request Form
For pianos located elsewhere:
- Residence Halls — Submit a maintenance request through MyHousing.
- Tinkham Veale University Center or Thwing Student Center — Contact studentcenters@case.edu.
Submit non-urgent maintenance or custodial requests for classrooms, offices, practice rooms, or common areas within the CWRU Department of Music.
For general repairs or custodial needs, email music+facilities@case.edu or call 216.368.2297. Please include photos when possible to help staff access the issue.
Need access to a locked room? Follow the steps below for assistance:
- Haydn Hall (during regular office hours): Find a CWRU Music Office staff member for assistance.
- Denison Hall or Harkness Chapel/Classroom: Call 216.368.2297 for access support.
- Locked buildings or after-hours access: Contact Campus Security at 216.368.3300 (non-emergency line). Be prepared to provide your CWRU Network ID and your reservation confirmation or course details.
Access will only be granted to authorized CWRU affiliates with a valid reason for entry.
For emergency maintenance issues (such as plumbing, electrical, or HVAC), contact Facilities Services through the Customer Service Center at 216.368.2580.
After-hours calls are forwarded to Public Safety Dispatch; only urgent emergencies will be addressed outside normal business hours.

In the event of a safety or medical emergency:
- Call Campus Security immediately at 216.368.3333.
- After the situation is addressed, report the incident to the CWRU Department of Music by emailing music+facilities@case.edu or calling 216.368.2297.
