Composer-naturalist Lisa Rainsong attunes ears to the music of birds, insects

Lisa Rainsong, an instructor of music theory at the Cleveland Institute of Music, also records and studies the songs of birds, insects, and amphibians for her website, “Listening in Nature.” Through the Joint Music Program, Lisa has taught generations of CWRU music majors and recently presented a colloquium on her work in this area in our department.
