Music Education (BS)
Students applying for the BS program in Music Education should follow these application procedures.
Part 1: Common Application + Arts Supplement
- Check deadlines and carefully review the Audition Information: Students applying to the Music Education (BS) program should submit their Common Application and corresponding Arts Supplement materials as soon as possible and well ahead of the posted deadlines to allow ample preparation time.
- Apply to the University:
- Indicate the option of submitting an Arts Supplement when prompted on the Common Application.
- List the Music Education (BS) degree program as major choice #1 when prompted on the Common Application.
- Submit the CWRU Arts Supplement: The Arts Supplement is a digital portfolio that consists of a questionnaire form and video audition. Shortly after a student has submitted the Common Application, the Office of Undergraduate Admission will electronically deliver login credentials that the student will use to access their applicant portal. This is also the place where students can track the status of their application.
Part 2: Live Audition/Interview
Students applying to the Music Education (BS) program must complete a live audition/interview in addition to the Arts Supplement. Both video conference and on-campus options are available. Eligible students will be contacted directly for scheduling.
Music Education (BS) applicants with additional questions about the live audition/interview process should contact Dr. Matthew Garrett, Coordinator of Undergraduate Studies in Music Education (BS).
