Austin Program Overview

Austin Program History

The Master of Science in Anesthesia Program at Case Western Reserve University has a history rich in leadership, scholarship, and reputation in the field of anesthesia. In Austin, we continue to expand on that foundation.

The Austin location launched as a stand alone site in 2021 with an initial class of twelve graduate students.

Since Austin began training certified anesthesiologist assistants, the program has rapidly expanded its regional rotation sites, providing students with exposure to a diverse array of complex cases.

In 2024, the Austin branch expanded to include four additional seats that are dedicated to Lubbock-based clinical rotations. These selected students reside in and complete their clinicals at our affiliate site, University Medical Center (UMC) in Lubbock, Texas.

The program is proud to work with our clinical partners in the Texas region to contribute to our community's healthcare needs.
