Our Learning Environments

Students have access to our simulation laboratory in Samson Pavillion located within the Health Education Campus. The lab experience allows students to hone their anesthesia care techniques through participation in real-world scenarios. The lab is a central component of our curriculum, and the location of our lab in the Health Education Campus allows our students a space to be collaborate with medical, nursing, dental medicine, and physician assistant students to learn with and from each other.

Didactic lectures also take place in classrooms in the Health Education Campus. Within the School of Medicine, student learning is supported by the Cleveland Health Sciences Library and graduate study center, spaces specifically designed to provide resources for and aid in the advanced study of medicine and healthcare. Our distance learning classroom, where students complete their pharmacology and physiology coursework with their peers in Houston, Austin and Washington, is located in the same space.

Additionally, students have access to the Kelvin Smith Library, where the university’s main collection is housed, and the Dittrick Medical History Center.
