Since joining the MSA Program’s Cleveland office in 2006, Ms. Puin has focused her attention on admissions, budgets, and management of office operations. Prior to her employment with the Program, she worked for 10 years at Case Western Reserve University, where she specialized in development and grants management. As assistant director and later interim director of the school of nursing’s Center for Research and Scholarship, she worked with faculty to prepare and submit grant applications. During her time at the nursing school she also wrote award nominations and brought in more than a dozen prestigious awards for nursing faculty and advocates.
Ms. Puin worked for 7 years in central development at the university, shepherding proposals and grants through the system and researching prospective funders. She received her Doctor of Philosophy in English in 1996 from The Ohio State University and taught courses in Shakespeare, English literature, and computers and composition at Ohio State and John Carroll University.
