Mr. Rifici has been a practicing anesthesiologist assistant for almost thirty years in the Greater Cleveland area. He received a Master of Education degree from Cleveland State University. He has served as an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology in Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and has held the position of Program Director at the CWRU Master of Science in Anesthesiology Program for over fourteen years and is currently the Executive Program Director for the CWRU MSA network. At the state level he has served as a Director and is a Founding Member of the Ohio Academy of Anesthesiologist Assistants, and on a national level, he has served as a Director for both the American Academy of Anesthesiologist Assistants (AAAA) and the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants for which he serves as the Vice Chair. He has been honored by receiving from the AAAA the Distinguished Service by an AAAA Member award in 2010 and the Excellence in Education Award in 2012.‌
