Dr. Norcia has been a practicing anesthesiologist and fellowship trained critical care intensivist for sixteen years at University Hospitals of Cleveland. Among his clinical responsibilities is his leadership role as the Chief of Transplant Anesthesia and Medical Director of Surgical Intensive Care Unit. He currently holds many educational appointments including Assistant Professor for Anesthesiology at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, and Vice Chair of Education for the Department of Anesthesiology & Perioperative Medicine at University Hospitals of Cleveland, and most recently having been selected as the Executive Medical Director of the Masters of Science in Anesthesiology Program.
As a clinician and educator, he has remained active in the promotion and growth of the anesthesiologist assistant profession, most recently having been appointed as a Director to the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants. He also is an active member of the Anesthesiologist Assistant Education & Practice Committee for the ASA.
