The NPDPSC has an MRI Consultation Program that offers clinicians and/or families a free-of-charge reading of the Brain MRI as it pertains to the likelihood of prion disease.
If you are interested in submitting Brain-Only MRI Images (either electronically or via Disk) to our center for MRI consultation, please read the "MRI Interpretation Request Guidelines" for the details, and please fill out the "MRI Interpretation Request Form" listed below:
Please note that MRI interpretation reports can only be sent to physicians, therefore this individual's contact information, including an appropriate fax number (if within the U.S.) and/or email address, should be filled out in the form. The MRI request form should accompany the scans.
The turnaround time for MRI consults is 3-4 business days.
