Dr. Sattar is an expert in complex longitudinal studies. He is developing new biostatistical methods for the analysis of longitudinal and survival studies motivated by his own clinical study experiences. He has contributed to research on multiple chronic conditions by developing study designs and analytical methods. His research interests include random-effects survival models, joint modeling of outcomes, Bayesian semiparametric regression for high-dimensional longitudinal data, and dynamic treatment regimens (Q-learning).
