On October 30, 2016, Dr. Darcy Freedman was awarded the Sarah Samuels Memorial Award at the American Public Health Association. The award is given in the memory of Sarah Samuels whose strong sense of social justice and equity enabled her to lead ground-breaking efforts to change America’s relationship to nutrition and public health. Sarah Samuels established the Sarah Samuels Center. Its recipients are recognized for outstanding contributions for policy, advocacy and evaluation in public health nutrition. Congratulations, Darcy!
