The University Farm is a research farm, and as such, we keep close records of what we grow, how we grow, it and what our crops yield. We do so in an effort to maximize cost and labor efficiency, which allows us to bring you fresh, sustainably-produced products at a competitive price. When we price our items, we look around at markets, grocery stores, and online to see what the going rate is for organic produce. As our market expands, we look to expand as well to meet the growing demand for locally-raised products.
We use approximately 3 acres of both indoor and outdoor growing space. Between all of our locations, we were able to grow over 60 products including beans, cucumbers, summer squash, swiss chard, spinach, turnips, onions, kale, green beans, eggplants, sweet potatoes, bell peppers, hot peppers, 7 different herbs, lettuce, carrots, tomatoes, cabbage, and broccoli.
