Under the leadership of Dean Stanton Gerson, Case Western Reserve School of Medicine is dedicated to advancing global health through innovative research and exceptional education. The School of Medicine is a central force in health education and research across Cleveland’s leading academic medical centers, including the Cleveland Clinic, the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center, the MetroHealth System, and University Hospitals.
With over 3,400 full-time faculty and an additional 5,000 part-time educators, the institution excels in delivering world-class patient care, groundbreaking research, impactful policy interventions, and exceptional research in cancer, immunology, cardiovascular and neurodegenerative diseases, and more. The commitment to diversity and collaborative excellence is at the core of their mission.
Globally, the school extends its impact through research collaborations and entrepreneurial efforts, including over 80 patent filings annually. The School of Medicine is committed to shaping the future of medicine and health on both local and international stages.
