Last Decade Illustrates a Tradition of Excellence at CWRU

Since 2008, the MSA Program at Case Western Reserve University has seen only one student fail to pass the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants certifying exam. With 417 graduates over the last decade, that’s a 99.76% certification pass rate for the CWRU MSA Network.

Our graduates’ job placement has rate been equally astounding over the last ten years. Since 2008, there have only been three graduates who have been unemployed at the time of reporting. That’s a 99.28% employment rate in the field.

It’s worth noting that of those three graduates who were unemployed at the time of reporting, only one went on to pursue a career in a different field. The other two graduates are working, certified anesthesiologist assistants who simply took their time to find the job that was right for them and were highly selective during their job search.

The MSA Program takes pride in the performance of our graduates across the network and at individual sites. Certifying exam pass rates, job placement rates, and attrition can be reviewed for Cleveland, Houston,  and Washington online.

A recent survey shows that CWRU MSA alumni continue to achieve at high levels in and out of the operating room after graduation. See the initial report from that survey in the October 2018 issue of The Anesthetist, our quarterly newsletter.
