The Master of Science in Anesthesia Program will host a spring open house for all interested prospective students on Saturday, April 6 starting at 9:00 am at Case Western Reserve University's Wolstein Research Building.
The open house will begin with a brief welcome and introduction, led by Executive Program Director Joseph Rifici, CAA, MEd and Director of Special Projects Peter Kaluszyk, CAA. They will discuss the role of a certified anesthesiologist assistant on the anesthesia care team, and the didactic and clinical philosophy of the MSA Program.
Afterwards, prospective students will be divided into groups. Each group will be able to rotate through four stations, where they will have the opportunity to
- Discuss admission requirements with our Network Admissions Director Jennifer Puin, PhD.
- Experience an intubation and airway management simulation led by current students.
- Learn first-hand from students about the amazing clinical opportunities offered at CWRU.
- Gain insight into the day in the life of a CAA with our Assistant Program Director Carie Twichell, CAA.
The open house is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the CAA profession, learn what makes the CWRU MSA Program unique, and network with key program leaders and faculty.
Students interested in all three of our locations of study are invited to attend the open house, which will be hosted at our main campus in Cleveland, Ohio.
While the open house is free and open to all prospective students, there are a limited number of slots available. Click here to register for the open house today.
The MSA Program will also participate in the School of Medicine Graduate Program Fair on Friday, April 5. Students attending the open house are welcome to join us on Friday as well. The fair will feature a number of master’s and post-baccalaureate programs, and will include information sessions on Cleveland and the School of Medicine more broadly.
