With over 50 years of experience training some of the world's finest anesthetists, we understand that diversity in background and interests fosters well-rounded, engaged, and compassionate professionals. This year's class is no exception!
The Class of 2026 is a diverse and dynamic group of 111 students, hailing from 27 states and one Canadian province, and representing 65 different undergraduate institutions. Notably, 20% of the class are first-generation college students. While many come with strong backgrounds in the sciences, there's also a rich array of disciplines represented, including anthropology, economics, finance, mathematics, engineering, and Spanish. This diversity of academic experiences will surely contribute to a vibrant learning environment.
In the interest of getting to know the new class better, we asked the Class of 2026 some fun Fall-themed "Would You Rather..." questions. Looks like they're all about cozy vibes and sweet treats! Here's a quick summary of their choices:
Apple pie (65%) wins over pumpkin pie
Thanksgiving (59%) is favored more than Halloween
Baking cookies (70%) beats out carving pumpkins
Watching scary movies (72%) is more popular than reading horror books
Sitting by a bonfire (76%) is preferred over enjoying an indoor fireplace
When reading the biographies of the Class of 2026, the recurring theme is excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to become part of the CWRU MSA family. As they learn from our first-class faculty and 91 second-year student mentors to become the best anesthetists, the members of the Class of 2026 are eager to utilize their compassionate nature to care for patients, and the MSA family is exceptionally lucky to have them.
