The Home of Nurse Leaders

The Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing known around the world as the home to nurse leaders. Almost every major nursing organization has been led by an FPB graduate.More than 40 former and current deans of nursing worldwide are alumni. They lead nursing programs at hospital systems around the country. Countless alumni are members of Sigma Theta Tau International, the Honor Society of Nursing and  are fellows of the American Academy of Nursing as well as the National League of Nursing, and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners to name a few.

The FPB School of Nursing Alumni Relations office and Alumni Association strive to advance this mission of excellence by encouraging alumni to continue their connection with the school and each other while promoting the profession of nursing. 

Alumni Activities

The FPB School of Nursing Alumni Relations office works closely with the Alumni Association and its board members strive to keep FPB School of Nursing graduates connected by:

  • Communicating via Social Media and Forefront magazine
  • Offering volunteer opportunities to support FPB initiatives, including Alumni Ambassadors Volunteers to recruit new students; Nursing Networking on campus with students; USNA webinars, networking with students; Alumni Board member volunteers
  • Hosting annual events including l Alumni Homecoming Weekend and Reunion, FPB Pinning Ceremonies, FPB Day at the Indians Baseball event, and other gatherings
  • Honoring our graduates with the annual Alumni Awards program, which includes the Distinguished Alumni Award, the Award for Excellence and the Young Alumni Award each year at Homecoming & Reunion.
