Sonya Moore, DNP, RN, CRNA, FAAN, FAANA, assistant professor and nurse anesthesiology program director at the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, has been named one of the Notable Leaders in Healthcare for 2024 by Crain’s Cleveland Business.
According to Crain’s, the honorees “continue to innovate and educate, not just keeping Cleveland at the center of the healthcare universe but at the forefront of keeping the public healthy.”
Moore is also founder and director of the school’s Leadership Excel and Achievement Program (LEAP), which encourages underrepresented minority students to join the field of nurse anesthesiology.
The first LEAP cohort will graduate from nurse anesthesiology programs next year and will be recognized during the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology 2025 Mid-Year Assembly.
Moore is a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology (AANA) and a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing.
