Taiwo is a Cleveland native with a Bachelor of Science in Educational Studies from Kent State University and is currently pursuing a Master of Humanities in Rhetoric and Composition at Tiffin University. For the past seven years, she has worked with non-profits, grassroots organizations, and higher education institutions advancing initiatives in criminal legal reform, student basic needs, reproductive justice, and healing justice. Taiwo’s passion for social justice and her commitment to supporting marginalized communities, both locally and beyond, are at the heart of her work. That passion is what brought her to the Mandel School, where she is excited to continue growing and learning in her role as Engagement Coordinator to the Dean at the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences. Outside of work Taiwo enjoys reading, art, and stays inspired by movements leaders on the forefront of system change.
