Dean Gilmore giving commencement speech at podium

Sunday May 17, 2020

The Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences is excited to celebrate the achievements of our most recent graduates.

Commencement is a full day of celebratory events, including the University Convocation honoring all CWRU graduates and the Mandel School Diploma Ceremony with your classmates.

You don’t have to attend Commencement in order to graduate (you’ve put in the hard work, after all!), but we certainly hope to mark this milestone with you.

Who can participate in Commencement?

  • Students who are graduating in May 2020
  • Students who graduated in August 2019 or January 2020 but didn’t already attend Commencement
  • Students who will graduate in August 2020 or January 2021, are within 6 credits of completing their program and are in good academic standing

May graduates who do not participate in Commencement can pick up their diploma from the Mandel School School Suite 140 between May 18 and 22, or it will be mailed to the address provided on their application for graduation.
