Why I Teach

With the unprecedented socioeconomic challenges and disparities in our society, teaching provides the opportunity to share my knowledge and values while impacting future change agents who will promote social justice, empower the vulnerable, and create meaningful grassroots changes. Besides, teaching is a space where I consistently learn and abreast of the evolving theories and practices in the field.

Why I Chose this Profession

Growing up in the Global South, I witnessed tremendous socioeconomic challenges affecting children, youth, and families in their daily lives.  After completing high school, my volunteer work with World Vision International, particularly securing sponsors to support vulnerable children’s basic health and educational needs, profoundly influenced my professional path through college and beyond.
