As a graduate of the Mandel School and Case Western Reserve University, you have access to valuable library services and databases. Below are a couple of resources that we and the Kelvin Smith Library have to offer to you.
Alumni/Special Borrower’s Card
Mandel School alumni are welcome to contact us or stop by on weekdays during business hours to request a Harris Library Special Borrowers Card. The card is valid for one academic year and is renewed upon request. Cardholders may borrow:
- Non-reference books and media items from the Harris and Kelvin Smith Libraries.
- Up to six items at a time from OhioLINK.
Research Databases for Alumni
Mandel School alumni are also eligible to apply for free access to selected research databases covering a wide variety of subjects. Databases that are relevant to social work and nonprofit management include:
- Academic Search Complete
- Business Source Complete
- CINAHL Plus with Full Text
- SocINDEX
- EBSCO eBook Collection (formerly NetLibrary)
To apply, you will need your CWRU ID and password. Once your application is processed, you will receive a new library username/password to use with the databases.
If you forgot the password associated with your CWRU network ID, you can reset it online.
Are you not sure if you have a CWRU ID and password? Please call the [U]Tech Help Desk at 216.368.HELP (4357) and ask for a Network ID to access online alumni services.
