Khalil M. Brown

Khalil M. Brown is a Licensed Social Worker and alum of the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at Case Western Reserve University. He received his Bachelor’s of Social Work from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. Over the course of his professional career, he has served as both the primary therapist and the alcohol and drug specialist at Beech Brook in its Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program. He provided therapeutic intervention, support and assistance in individual and group settings to help strengthen the daily life and functioning skills of the 17 to 26-year-old clients who were diagnosed with co-occurring disorders. He currently serves as the wrap-around service and community wellness coordinator at Saint Martin de Porres High School. There he is responsible for communicating with both internal and external organizations, in order to develop and strengthen partnerships, to provide additional support services that will assist in reducing and eliminating any barriers to the students’ education. Additionally, he helps provide social-emotional counseling and academic and interdepartmental support to better promote student-teacher engagement and rapport building. He also serves on their Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) committee.
