The Mandel School values the experience and leadership skills students obtain through service corps programs such as City Year, Peace Corps, Coro Fellows, AmeriCorps and others. To honor your service, we have established scholarships in recognition of your commitment to leading change.
City Year
The Mandel School is proud to partner with City Year to offer scholarship support to City Year corps members and alumni. The City Year scholarship is valued at $36,000 for the 60 credit, traditional MSW program ($18,000 per year for two years) and $27,000 ($9,000 each semester) for the 39 credit Advanced Standing MSW program. Master of Nonprofit Organizations (MNO) students are eligible for a City Year Scholarship of $27,000 ($9,000 each semester for 3 semesters). Up to 10 recipients per year may be selected across both programs. Get the complete details.
Paul D. Coverdell Fellows Scholarships
Our valued partnership with the Peace Corps provides eligible Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCV), a half-tuition Coverdell Fellowship. The half-tuition Coverdell Fellowship is available to students in the Master of Social Work (MSW) program, Master of Nonprofit Organizations (MNO) program, and dual MSW/MNO degree programs. Current Peace Corps members are able to apply to our MSW and MNO programs during your final year of service, in preparation for their return to the US.
Coro Fellows Program and Teach for America Scholarships
Coro Fellows Program and Teach for America current members and alumni are provided special consideration for scholarship support. We recognize their commitment to service and the exceptional experience provided through Coro and TFA.
Segal AmeriCorps Education Award Match
AmeriCorps alumni receive either a Segal Educational Award match or a Mandel School Scholarship (whichever is the greater benefit).
Yellow Ribbon
The Mandel School proudly participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program to help bridge the gap of tuition and fees that are not covered by the Post-9/11 GI Bill. We have a dedicated university staff that serves our veteran student community and supports all aspects of student life at the Mandel School.
