After updating Google Chrome, users may receive a pop-up message stating "Your organization will manage this profile." [U]Tech wants to assure the campus community that this message was prompted by Google, not the university. CWRU does not manage your bookmarks, history or any other part of your browser. There is no change to the Acceptable Use Policy.
This prompt allows you, the user, to separate your CWRU bookmarks, history, passwords, etc. from your personal, non-university, browsing into different profiles, allowing you to focus and customize your experience with Chrome. Learn more about this on the [U]Tech website.
