Human Genome Project 20th Anniversary Celebration

In partnership with the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine will host a full day of lectures to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the completion of the Human Genome Project and the impact it’s had—and continues to have—on science and our lives.

Morning and afternoon events will be held Events will be held from 10 am through 5 pm in the Wolstein Research Building auditorium (Room 1413). Speakers include Dr. Jeffrey M. Trent, President and Research Director of the Translational Genomics Research Institute, and Dr. Sara A. Tishkoff, Director of the Penn Center for Global Genomics and Health Equity.

The day's events will include a lunch for PhD students in the School of Medicine with the speakers. Interested students should contact Dr. David Buchner (dab22@case.edu) to register for the lunch.

The celebration will continue in the evening with a panel discussion at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History.
