Add to Calendar: Add to Calendar 2023-11-17 10:00:00 2023-11-18 20:00:00 Celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the completion of the Human Genome Project In partnership with the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, we invite you to join us for a full day of lectures at CWRU in the Wolstein auditorium (WRB1413) to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the completion of the Human Genome Project and the remarkable impact it has had and continues to have on both our science and our lives. Featured speakers will include Dr. Sarah Tishkoff, a David and Lyn Silfen University Professor in Genetics and Biology at the University of Pennsylvania; Dr. Heidi Rehm, the Chief Genomics Officer at the Center for Genomic Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and the Co-director of the Program in Medical and Population Genetics at the Broad Institute; Dr. David Goldstein, Co-founder and CEO of Actio Biosciences; and Dr. Jeffrey Trent, President and Research Director of the Translational Genomics Research Institute.   The day's events will include a lunch for PhD students in the School of Medicine with the speakers. Interested students should contact Dr. David Buchner (dab22@case.edu) to register for the lunch. In addition, there will be a reception following the lectures in the Wolstein Lobby in which all are welcome to attend. The celebration will continue in the evening with a panel discussion at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History.
