Friday, October 10

Mental Illness Awareness Presentation

1:30 p.m. | Samson Pavilion Room 149 A/B and Hybrid

In recognition of Mental Illness Awareness Week, hear from Susan Painter, DNP, PMHNP-BC, lead faculty for the Family Systems Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program at the School of Nursing, and alumna Karen Hogan, DNP, RN, NE-BC, associate chief nursing officer for behavioral health at Summa Health, for an engaging and informative session. This program is eligible for Continuing Education Credit.

Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing Alumni Association Board Community Meeting and Dean’s State of the School Address

Learn about the impactful initiatives led by your Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing Alumni Association Board and explore meaningful ways to get involved and make a difference. Hear from Dean Ronald Hickman as he shares the School of Nursing’s key goals and priorities for the upcoming year. Question and answer session will follow, providing a unique opportunity to engage directly with Dean Hickman, as well as school and Board leadership.

School of Nursing Tour and Breakfast

Take a student-led tour of the School of Nursing’s innovative learning spaces and discover fun facts about the Health Education Campus! Did you know the Samson Pavilion hosted the first 2020 presidential debate? Or that the School of Nursing is home to a Leadership Academy? Enjoy breakfast starting at 8 a.m. and join us for tours running intermittently between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m.

Health Sciences Collaborative: The Role of Healthcare Providers in the Age of Artificial Intelligence

Join a panel of distinguished alumni and faculty from the Schools of Medicine, Nursing and Dental Medicine as they share insights on the emerging role of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare. Learn how AI is shaping the future of patient care and what it could mean for healthcare providers. Q&A session will follow the discussion.

Celebrate Homecoming with your CWRU School of Nursing community at Tacologist, where the science of tacos, tequila and margaritas comes to life! Enjoy delicious drinks and appetizers, reconnect with fellow nursing alumni and receive a special School of Nursing branded Homecoming gift. We’ll also give special recognition to reunion classes—those with graduation years ending in 0 or 5. Let’s raise a toast to old memories and new connections!
