The National League for Nursing (NLN) has published a new vision statement providing guidance for nursing educators on the equitable distribution of COVID-19 vaccines and vaccinations.

Ronald L. Hickman Jr., chair of the Ruth M. Anderson Professorship and the associate dean for research at the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, is a member of NLN's 2021 Strategic Action Group and a contributing author of its vision statement, The Equitable Determinants of Access to Vaccine Distribution and Vaccinations for All.

The statement addresses the issue of equity of allocation and distribution of COVID-19 vaccines and vaccinations, and creates a model for potential management of any future pandemics and disasters.

A leading professional organization for nurse educators, the NLN offers professional development, teaching resources, research grants, testing services and public policy initiatives to 45,000 individual and 1,100 institutional members.
