Applicants to the Master of Nursing (MN) program are admitted to both the Master of Nursing and Master of Science of Nursing programs, upon recommendation from the admissions committee.
Students who meet all curricular requirements are awarded the MN degree upon successful completion. Successful completion requires the student to maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA during the 4 semesters, with a minimum grade of C (2.0) as a passing standard.
Upon successful completion of the MN curriculum, graduates are eligible to apply for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and sit for the NCLEX Examination.
Students must hold the RN license in order to take MSN clinical courses. *Certain MSN majors require experience as an RN and/or a separate interview or application process. See the MSN program director or Website for more information. An RN license is required to take MSN clinical courses.
Upon completion of the MN or MSN degrees, students may apply for the DNP, PhD or DNP/PhD programs.
