Take a Walk

The Cleveland Hiking Club offers hiking schedules for members and non-members. 

There are a variety of local parks including the Cleveland Metroparks (see the interactive map here) and Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

Work Out

CWRU offers two free athletic facilities, Veale and Wyant.

Postdocs can also participate in intramural sports

Join the CWRU Yoga Club or check out a group fitness class at One to One Fitness.

Get In Touch with Your Spiritual Side

The Interreligious Council (IRC) encourages the CWRU community to explore their spirituality, faith traditions, and religious identity. 

The International Student Fellowship (ISF) provides social and spiritual support for international students and postdocs from many cultures, faiths, and backgrounds.

The Physical Resource Center is a food pantry open to all students, staff, faculty, and postdocs at CWRU. The Greater Cleveland Food Bank has a map to find hot meals, food pantries, and mobile food pantries. 

Read A Good Book

The Kelvin Smith Library (KSL) offers book rentals, study spaces, and a music collection.

The Cleveland Public Library offers free books, movies, music, events, classes, and a variety of services.
