Sharon Milligan is an Associate Professor of Social Work, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Chair of the Master of Science in Social Administration (MSSA) and Master in Nonprofit Management Organizations (MNO) programs at the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio., U.S.A. At the Mandel School, she is also Associate Director of the Center on Urban Poverty and Community Development.
Dr. Milligan teaches graduate courses in community development, social welfare policy and research methodology. Dr. Milligan directed a study to uncover technology for evaluating conditions and assets in low-income communities. She directed several funded research projects focusing on health and minorities. A contributor of scholarly articles to professional literature, Dr. Milligan’s publications appear in Women and Health, The New England Journal of Medicine, Controlled Clinical Trials, Social Work in Health Care, The Gerontologist, Ethnicity and Disease, Community Mental Health Journal and Arthritis Care and Research.
