Event Description
Join the Mandel School for a special Change Leaders presentation by Lori Stokes on Thursday, Aug. 15, at 9:30 a.m.
Stokes, a former journalist and news anchor at WNYW-Fox 5 News and WABC New York, is the daughter of the late congressman Louis Stokes and the niece of Carl Stokes, both influential figures in the movement for equity and inclusive societies. She is a member of the Mandel School’s Visiting Committee, the Dean's Advisory Committee and a Distinguished Visiting Community Scholar.
This inaugural keynote address is part of the required in-person orientation for our Master of Social Work (MSW) Weekly On-Campus program. However, we are delighted to offer a community-building opportunity for all new incoming Mandel School students—regardless of program—to attend the event and participate in the interactive Q&A portion.
Students in the MSW Weekend and Online program formats, along with Master of Nonprofit Organizations (MNO) program students, doctoral students, faculty, staff and CWRU community members do not need to register and can join via livestream.
We look forward to welcoming you to this collective, inspirational experience.
