The Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing welcomes The Measure of Our Age author, MT Connolly, and president of the John A. Hartford Foundation, Terry Fulmer, at the Health Education Campus and virtually on Oct. 11. During this lunchtime talk and discussion, we’ll examine the roots of mistreatment in long-term care, including nursing homes, assisted living, CCRCs and other residential settings.  MT Connolly, JD, is an elder justice expert awarded a MacArthur "genius" grant for her work shaping policy, research and practice for decades. Her book, The Measure of Our Age: Navigating Care, Safety, Money, and Meaning Later in Life, chronicles the decades-long struggle to improve long-term care. Connolly was architect of the Elder Justice Act and founded the DOJ’s Elder Justice Initiative. Terry Fulmer, PhD, RN, FAAN, is president of the John A. Hartford Foundation, a foundation dedicated to improving the care of older adults. She is known for development of the Age-Friendly Health Systems movement and the national Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders (NICHE) program.
