I have been an employee of Case Western Reserve University, in the University Office of Student Affairs, since December 1999. And YES, I have been in Student Affairs the whole time! I worked in corporate America for several years prior to my venture into academia but I was immediately enthralled by the emphasis placed on developing our students to be ethical leaders, mindful community members and well-rounded students, who will one day be the leaders in corporate America. It is a joy to watch so many of our students grow through not only being active community members and brilliant students, but also sometimes through struggle and overwhelming challenges.
As I worked in academia I was spurred towards my goal of, one day, obtaining my degree. Which I fulfilled in 2014 when I received a baccalaureate of Social Work. However, as we grow and change, so should our goals, so there's always more to come...
Although education is important to me....and by extension an important foci for my family; my faith and family has always been the priority. I am the "mom" of three cats, two daughters and one dog (priority should not be assumed by the order they are listed). Really, my pride and joy are my wonderful daughters who have already outgrown their mother in faith, academics, intuition/kindness and charity, and skills and talents in so many areas! Although, I am the best skater of the three of us!
