Travis T. Apgar is the Vice President for Student Affairs at Case Western Reserve University. He joined Case Western Reserve in July 2024 from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he served as Associate Vice President for Student Life and Dean of Students from 2017 to 2024. Before that, he served Cornell University as the Robert G. Engle Associate Dean of Students from 2006 to 2017.
Recognized as an outstanding higher education leader, Vice President Apgar has more than 25 years of experience in student affairs at premier public and private research universities. He has expertise in student engagement, support, and development, and is an advocate for the multidimensional individuals that make up a college student community.
Apgar has served numerous professional associations in volunteer leadership roles, is a current member of the Board of Directors for the Hazing Prevention Network, and is a national speaker and consultant on the college student experience.
